Dr. Torbert joins CHKD with a wealth of experience in practice locations and settings. A native of Hampton Roads since high school, Dr. Torbert is proud to join the CHKD family to continue providing service to children of this area. Dr. Torbert is passionate about advocacy for mental health. She has lobbied legislators for more funding for eating disorders. She focused her master's degree thesis on disparities in health insurance and health care delivery in the Big 10 University population. She combines her passion for advocacy with a love for teaching and daily interaction with patients.
